Howard Lubert is the founder and Managing Director of SafeHatch. He brings more than 31 years of consulting, financial, and technical experience to the company. Prior to starting SafeHatch Mr. Lubert was responsible for formalizing the technical due diligence methodology for Safeguard Scientifics and a number of related Safeguard funds. While at Safeguard Mr. Lubert performed technical due diligence and business remediation reviews for Safeguard and many of its related funds.
In March, 1997, Mr. Lubert was responsible for the creation of the eBusiness Consulting Services division At Deloitte & Touche. A new practice area for the firm, Mr. Lubert had regional responsibility for eBusiness training, recruiting, and business development. Under his leadership, the D&T eBusiness service line executed numerous Web enablement projects for Fortune 1000 and middle market clients. He also created Internet strategic and marketing plans for clients in a variety of industries. Mr. Lubert served in a leadership role in the firm’s Tech.Comm industry practice and performed technical due diligence for the firm’s Emerging Business Practice led by Mike Purcell.
Prior to Deloitte & Touche, Lubert ran HEL, INC (Integration, Networking & Connectivity) a successful LAN/WAN consultancy business. He was one of the first certified network engineers and instructors in the world and served as the national chairman of LANDA (The Local Area Network Dealers Association).
Mr. Lubert has served as the Entrepreneur in Residence at The Fox School of Business, Temple University and teaches a number of undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses. He has served as a fellow of the Irwin L. Gross eBusiness Institute at The Fox School for the last five years.
